The Germplasm Bank of the Botanical Garden of Castilla-La Mancha will form part of GENMEDA, the network of Mediterranean flora conservation centres.
Almost thirty centres in 12 countries form part of this international network dedicated to the conservation of Mediterranean flora.
This is a new milestone in the conservation of flora at the Germplasm Bank of the Botanical Garden of Castilla-La Mancha.

The Botanical Garden of Castilla-La Mancha is now a member of the international network ‘the Climate Toolkit’.
More than a hundred museums, botanical gardens and zoos are part of this international group promoting the efficient use of facilities to combat climate change.
The only two institutions representing Spain in this network are the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid and the Botanical Garden of Castilla-La Mancha, in Albacete.

The photographic exhibition ‘¡Al agua, pájaros!’ (Into the water, birds!) by Ricardo Beléndez is on display at the Botanical Garden of Castilla-La Mancha.
A total of 25 photographs of water birds, taken entirely in the province of Albacete.
The exhibition will be open until 26 September 2023.
